Brickendon Grange Captains, Andrew Stapleton and Shelagh Wilson, have chosen to support Carers in Hertfordshire as their charity.
They are a local charity, based in Hertford and serving the whole county. The main thrust of their work is supporting people who care for others. Such people, who include children and young people, can often slip “under the radar” in terms of mainstream services and Carers In Hertfordshire aim to help with ensuring all carers receive information, advice and support; enabling carers to participate in service planning and decision making; and giving a platform for the voice of carers. Their services are free of charge and the extra funds we hope to provide will be a vital resource for them.
We will be seeking to raise funds through various means, including the membership draw, the Birdie Box and most importantly our Charity Day, which will take place on Friday 19th June 2026. It is never too early to donate an auction of raffle item, a prize or a “red letter” experience. Your help is both vital and appreciated.
Several of our members at Brickendon Grange have links to Carers in Hertfordshire, who support the Carers Passport Discount Card, Breaks for Carers, Bereavement and Emotional Support, learning and social opportunities as well as helping carers to access vital information and advice. We hope you’ll agree that it’s a worthy cause to support. Should you wish to contact Carers in Hertfordshire direct, the link to their website is Carers in Herts
