On Saturday 18th. September 2010, the new Short Game Practice Area was officially opened by Club member and ex Tottenham, Arsenal and Northern Ireland footballer Pat Jennings, and ex Sunderland and Ireland Captain Charley Hurley.

Pat demonstrated his skill at chipping and pitching, encouraging members to make good use of this excellant new facility, comprising of two bunkers and a two tier green, allowing members and societies the chance to practice their short game from 75 yards in.
